Answer: You can remotely control the lock from anywhere via WiFi if you have a Masgety gateway installed nearby the lock.

Some passcodes can be generated remotely without a bluetooth/wifi connection. See this article for more information. All you need to know about passcodes

Note: The Masgety gateway is sold separately.
